Event Guide - Kids Entertainment

The Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce invites kids to bring their parents to the “Imagination Zone” at the 19th annual Artfest event on September 6th and 7th,  from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Artfest will again be held in historic Wilcox Square in downtown Castle Rock. The small town ambiance of this area enhances the show’s relaxed atmosphere.

One of the favorite features of Artfest is the children’s area, known as the “Imagination Zone,” which features HawkQuest Birds of Prey Exhibit, art projects, and storytelling for kids of all ages to enjoy. This area continues to grow and bring new, interactive art ideas for the future collector.

Also, the area will house non-profits groups such as P.S. Miller Library, Castle Rock Historical Society, The Greater Castle Rock Art Guild, The Wildlife Experience, Douglas County Partners Mentoring Program, and The Women’s Crisis and Family Outreach Center.

In addition to these activities, there will be entertainment just for kids strolling the grounds, including: Mr. and Mrs. Guffaw from the Manitou Art Theatre – clown duo, and of course the ever popular Wild Bill Patterson.

Best of all, admission to Artfest is FREE for children 12 and under! Artfest is the largest arts event in Douglas County and a prestigious mark of distinction for Castle Rock. For more information on Artfest, visit the Chamber’s NEW website at www.castlerock.org or www.castlerockartfest.com or call the Chamber office, (303) 688-4597. Admission for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and older siblings is $5.00 and $3.00 for seniors, which includes a Sunday return ticket.

We look forward to seeing YOU at this year’s festival!
